Governance
- A Board of Trustees of three adults, including at least one independent trustee not related to any other trustee.
- Programs are led day to day by student Program Directors, who have no signatory or fiduciary authority.
- A written Conflict of Interest Policy, signed annually by every trustee, officer and Program Director.
- No grant may be made to any trustee, officer, Program Director, volunteer, or any member of their families.
- Grant candidates are nominated by school counselors or comparable independent sources; the Board approves every grant; recipients remain anonymous.
- Any single expenditure over $500 requires prior Board approval.
Programs and funds
Each program keeps its own designated fund — a Green4Grads Fund and a Debate4All Fund — so that proceeds from one program are used for that program's purposes. Net proceeds and donations are recorded by program and reported annually.
Reports and filings
We will publish a one-page annual report each year covering what we sold, what we granted, and what we donated in produce, books and clothes. Form 990-N will be filed with the IRS annually. Copies of our Certificate of Incorporation, Bylaws and Conflict of Interest Policy are available on request at contact@youth4greatness.org.
